Continuous heavy rainfall has severely affected several villages in the Fatehgarh Sahib district, causing flooding in many areas. Several houses have collapsed, crops have been destroyed, and numerous families have been forced to live under the open sky after losing their homes. In this difficult situation, Janata Dal (United) Punjab has stepped forward and initiated immediate relief work to support the affected families.
Today, under the leadership of State President Mr. Malvinder Singh Benipal, along with Senior Meet President (Youth Wing) Mr. Rahul Ghai and District Incharge Mr. Bhola Singh, the Punjab team of JD(U) distributed relief material in flood-hit villages located along the Sutlej River. Hundreds of families received tarpaulins and other essential daily-use items.
On this occasion, Mr. Rahul Ghai announced that, with the efforts of Mr. Malvinder Singh Benipal, mobile medical camps would soon be established in the affected areas. This initiative will play a crucial role in preventing the spread of diseases and ensuring timely medical care for the flood victims.
Mr. Bhola Singh added that party workers and volunteers of the Gurdial Singh Educational Trust are continuously engaged in relief efforts. Wherever help is required, JD(U) Punjab teams are reaching out immediately to provide assistance. Mr. Benipal himself is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that relief operations move forward at a rapid pace.
JD(U) Punjab has assured that their support and relief efforts will continue until the flood-affected people are able to return to their homes and restart their normal lives.
On this occasion, Advocate R.K. Ghai, Advocate Prince Kumar, Dalvinder Singh, Sonu Chaudhary, and several other volunteers were also present.
